Bronwyn Barnes B.A, Grad Dip Bus, GAICD
Ms Barnes has had an extensive career in the resources sector, having worked with companies ranging from Western Mining Corporation and BHP Billiton to emerging juniors in directorship, executive leadership, and operational roles in Australia and internationally. Ms Barnes is currently Non-Executive Chair of Indiana Resources, (ASX: IDA), Non-Executive Director of MOD Resources (ASX: MOD), Managing Director of Scorpion Minerals Pty Ltd. Bronwyn is also a member of the Executive Council of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC), the Advisory Council for Curtin University School of Business, Western Australia and a Member of the Board of Management of the Foundation for St Mary’s Anglican Girls School.
Derek Fisher BSc (Hons1) Geology, PhD Geology
Dr Fisher has more than 40 years’ experience in mining companies, spanning both corporate and operational roles, with a particular emphasis on iron ore and nickel projects. He has played key roles in listing and managing resources companies on both the ASX and TSX as well as identifying, evaluating, developing and operating quality mine developments. Dr Fisher was co-founder and a Director of successful African copper miner Anvil Mining from 1995-2000 and co-founder and CEO/Managing Director of Moly Mines Limited from 2003 until 2012.
Bruce McFadzean Dip Mining, FAusIMM
Bruce has over 30 years’ experience in mining and minerals processing across a range of commodities including gold, copper and nickel. Bruce has had extensive exposure to all levels of operations, with his work history including five years with BHP Billiton, ten years with Rio Tinto and overseas roles where he has managed the construction and start-up of several new mining operations. More recently, Bruce was Managing Director and CEO of Mawson West Limited (TSX:MWE) and Catalpa Resources Limited, now Evolution Mining Limited (ASX:EVN).
Chris van Wijk
Chief Executive Officer
Mr van Wijk is a qualified geologist with extensive experience in both francophone West Africa and East Africa, having led multi-national exploration teams across a range of commodities in several countries. He has a proven record in base and precious metals exploration, commercial negotiations and business development.
He was previously the Principal Geologist, Business Development and Exploration with Fortescue Metals Group and has held senior positions with First Quantum Minerals, IAM GOLD and BHP Billiton.
Stuart McKenzie LLB, BEc. (Hons.), AGIA, ACIS
Commercial Manager & Company Secretary
Stuart has over 25 years of experience in senior commercial roles. He was previously Company Secretary with Anvil Mining Limited for almost six years, prior to which he held senior positions with Ok Tedi Mining Limited, Ernst and Young and HSBC. Stuart holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance.
Heavenlight Kavishe MSc (Mech. Eng.) PhD (Eng.)
Country Manager – Tanzania
Kavishe was born and raised in Tanzania and has lived, studied and worked in various countries including Bulgaria, UK, Japan, Canada and the United States. Prior to joining Indiana Resources in 2013 he held various influential leadership positions within Tanzanian government agencies, including the National Development Corporation (NDC) and the Parastatal Sector Reform Commission (PSRC). In 2006 Kavishe established a private technology business, Kicheko Ltd and is regularly invited as a guest lecturer on entrepreneurship at various Tanzanian universities and centres of higher learning.
He holds degrees in Engineering and Business Administration and post-graduate qualifications in business administration, project management, privatization and utility regulation.
